MEP Engineer

JOB PURPOSE: GCL is looking to hire an MEP Engineer who will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on-site. Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure installations are completed according to design specifications, project schedules, and safety standards.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provide on-site technical support for MEP systems installation, testing, and commissioning.Review and interpret MEP drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.Conduct setting out, leveling, and site inspections to verify the correctness of work and materials.Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely and proper execution of MEP works.Assist in preparing material requests, tracking deliveries, and maintaining records of site resources.Monitor daily work progress and report updates, delays, or issues to the Project Engineer or Construction Manager.Ensure that all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.Support in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during installation or testing.Participate in quality control checks and ensure that all MEP systems are installed as per approved shop drawings.Prepare documentation and reports related to MEP activities, including daily logs and inspection reports.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent.Minimum Experience: 2–4 years of experience in MEP works, preferably within landscaping, infrastructure, or construction projects.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Job Specific: Good understanding of MEP systems design, coordination, and site installation practices.Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety procedures.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Generic Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills.Good organizational and reporting abilities.Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
