Merchandise Manager

Client profile: Our client is a high-end lifestyle retail brand with global presence. With a strong heritage and commitment to excellence, the company continues to expand its footprint across Asia Pacific. To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to join the leadership team. Job Title: Merchandise Manager Location: Tokyo, Japan What You’ll Do:Lead merchandising operations across multiple sales channels in Japan, with a strong focus on the direct retail business modelManage merchandise planning, procurement, and lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate system updates upon product arrivalConduct in-depth sales and market analysis to drive demand forecasting, assortment planning, and inventory optimizationDevelop and implement replenishment strategies to achieve sales and stock balance.- Identify slow-moving products and execute clearance and markdown strategiesAct as the key liaison with head office teams (Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, etc.), ensuring alignment on merchandising strategiesOversee cross-functional merchandising projects that support brand growth in the Japanese marketProvide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior merchandising staff.
