Metallurgical / Mineral Processing EngineerLocation: West AfricaEmployment Type: Full-time | PermanentAbout UsUnder the umbrella of Ashkenazi Group, our sister concern operates various mining operations across Africa, mainly in West Africa, committed to sustainable exploration, innovation, and ethical operationsRole OverviewThe Metallurgical / Mineral Processing Engineer will design, operate, and optimize mineral processing plants that convert mined ore into saleable metal or mineral concentrates (e.g., gold, coltan, rutile). The focus is achieving maximum recovery, purity, and regulatory compliance in line with environmental and export standards.Key Responsibilities• Design process flow sheets and select process equipment (crushers, mills, gravity separators, flotation, leaching systems).• Supervise plant setup, commissioning, and daily operations.• Monitor metallurgical performance, reagent consumption, and recovery rates.• Conduct lab assays and metallurgical balances.• Collaborate with mechanical and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.• Oversee tailings management, water usage, and environmental compliance.Qualifications & Experience• B.Eng. or M.Sc. in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering.• 5+ years’ experience in mineral beneficiation or gold processing plants.• Proven experience in commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting.• Proficiency in process simulation or design software.• Familiarity with African terrains and remote site operations is advantageous.Personal Attributes• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Safety-focused mindset and attention to detail.• Effective leadership and communication skills.• Ability to lead teams under challenging field conditions.Compensation & Benefits• Competitive salary and benefits package.• Accommodation, meals, and transport provided on-site.• Health insurance and paid leave included.
