At DKO, our workplace culture is shaped by our core values, fostering a safe, inclusive, and diverse environment where our people can excel.The Role:We’re looking for a Mid-to-Senior level Interior Designer to join our Brisbane team as we embark on several exciting upcoming projects. In this role, you’ll craft spaces that blend visual appeal with practical functionality, elevating the everyday experience of those who live and stay within them. This is a collaborative, hands-on position where you’ll help translate visions into reality, assess materials and design concepts, and contribute as an integral member of our creative team.Duties include:Provide design direction for a variety of projectsDevelop design concepts, spatial planning, and material selectionsPrepare documentation packages for constructionCoordinate with internal project managers and external consultantsPresent ideas confidently to clients and guide them through the design processMentor and support junior team membersTo visualise design ideas in Archicad, Photoshop, Sketchup, and/or other suitable mediaTo prepare presentations for client, consultant and/or relevant partiesHold coordination meetings with clients and other consultantsPursue innovation in design, possessing creativity and originalitySkills & Experience:Qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture4+ years of experience in interior designProficiency in CAD software (Revit/ArchiCAD)Strong understanding of construction documentation and technical detailingConfident communicator with experience in client-facing rolesAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyCollaborative mindset and a passion for high-quality, thoughtful designWhat We Offer:Work in an award-winning studio with a focus on equity and inclusionWork in a friendly, supportive, fun and creative team environmentOpportunities for career progressionExposure to projects across AustraliaProfessional membershipsEmployee Assistance Program to support mental health for you and your familyWellness initiatives and social eventsGenerous parental leave policyApplication RequirementsWhen applying for this job, please provide a Cover Letter, CV and Portfolio.
