With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary)This role’s primary purpose is to provide applications, proposals & pricing support to our Middle East & Africa representative network. This involves ensuring we have the correct information to understand the customer needs, support and direct the reps in terms of correct engineering solution, and assist in completing pricing and proposals within a timely manner. This role will also assist with engineering submittal creation for supervising consultants.What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities)While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: RFQ Review and Consultation: Supporting our reps to review RFQ’s from customers, and to initiate dialogue through the rep to gather the information required to offer the correct solution Providing technical selections and quotations for evaluation as required using SPX’s in house software Pricing: Pricing support for non-standard or non-priced options Coordination of bid pricing levels with representatives and SPX management to ensure we position successfully on projects Proposals Development: Where necessary for non-standard solutions or direct sales business, you will be required to develop full proposal packages for our customers Direct communication with reps and customers to support the product positioning in the customers mind – may include developing custom documents to support the specific requirements of a project Submittals: Review and comment on project specifications to clearly identify where we comply or deviate to the specs Compile compliance statements and submittal packages with required drawings, performance charts etc as required by the submittal processWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:Required Experience Engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related rolePreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Proficiency with Windows Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams, SAP, Autocad Strong communication & administrative skills Excellent literacy and numeracy skills Solution driven & problem solving orientated Attention to detail Forward planner with excellent organisation & time management skills Team worker that will equally contribute to the success of the team Proactive Change orientedEducation & Certifications Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent with related experience.Travel & Working Environment Infrequent travel may be required to meet with representatives, attend industry events, and visit company locations, expected to be less than 10 trips per yearHow We Live Our CultureOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
