Mobile Functional Test Lead

Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Mobile Functional Test Lead to manage and deliver end-to-end testing of mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in mobile application testing, deep understanding of functional and non-functional testing processes, and proven capability in leading test teams, planning, and ensuring quality across multiple releases.Key Responsibilities:Lead the mobile functional testing effort across multiple mobile app projects (iOS and Android).Define and implement the test strategy, test plan, and test cases for mobile applications.Ensure comprehensive coverage for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to validate business requirements and acceptance criteria.Manage test environments, data setup, and coordination with development and release teams.Perform API validation, UI validation, and backend data verification where applicable.Drive test automation adoption (if applicable) and ensure alignment with CI/CD pipelines.Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and revalidation.Lead and mentor a team of testers (onsite/offshore), providing guidance on quality standards and best practices.Prepare and present test reports, dashboards, and exit criteria to project stakeholders.Participate in release readiness reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes.Key Skills and Experience:8+ years of overall testing experience with at least 3+ years in mobile application testing.Strong hands-on experience testing native and hybrid mobile apps on both iOS and Android platforms.Experience with mobile device management, emulators, and cloud-based test platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab).Familiarity with mobile app build pipelines (CI/CD) and deployment tools (e.g., App Center, TestFlight, Play Console).Understanding of mobile app architecture, APIs, and integration with backend systems.Experience using JIRA, Zephyr, Xray, or TestRail for test management and defect tracking.Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest) is an advantage.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
