The Client Pulsor Motors based in Coolaroo, Victoria are looking to employ a full-time trade qualified and experienced motor mechanic to work in their workshop.The RoleAs a Motor Mechanic, it is essential that you have the passion to carry out mechanical servicing duties in an effective and timely manner. Your primary role is to carry out testing, diagnosing and troubleshooting major faults and overhauling engines of motor vehicles and parts such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes of a wide range of motor vehicle types.The annual salary is set between $78,000 to $80,000 depending on experience plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesSome tasks may includeChanging of engine oil filters, fuel filter engine and transmission mounts.Repairing or replacing worn and faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.Removing and fitting differential, repairing and servicing of differential and driving shafts.Checking the overall electric power of various electric units such as headlight, parking light, sidelight, stop light, direction light, roof light etc.Diagnosing, repairing and replacing engine management, fuel injection components, tuning engines and making fine adjustments for smoother running.Servicing cooling system, flushing and changing radiator, hoses and water pump, brakes, transmission.Check and repair suspensions and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.Checking parts and referring to manuals as necessary.Attending phone calls and putting the stock (for example brakes, sparkplugs, oil filters) at the proper places.Reviewing work orders.Maintain and manage tools, equipment and machinery in good condition.The RequirementsAQF Certificate III in the relevant field is requiredAt least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial workshop settingMust have at least 3 years' experience working with Intercontinental, European andAsian car makesMust have at least 3 years experience with oxy, electric and MIG welding techniquesMust have at least 3 years experience with Hybrid and EV vehiclesMust have 3 years of relevant experience in tyre fittingExperience working with mechanical systemsMust know how to operate diagnostic equipmentExperience working with mechanical systemsGood with hand and power toolsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamAble to pass a drug and alcohol testVerifiable work references
