Together we will actively seek to include and celebrate diversity as a strength of our community.MYP Individuals & Societies TeacherDivision: Middle SchoolReports to: Middle School PrincipalContract: full-time, two-year contractStart date: August 2026Basic Qualifications And RequirementsMaintains teacher certification from an accredited institution.Demonstrates understanding of the school curriculum and participates in curriculum review and design.Plans and uses pedagogical strategies in accordance with the MYP framework and curriculum.Provides timely feedback to students and utilizes a data-driven approach to teaching and learning.Uses a wide range of technologies and creative teaching strategies.Maintains up-to-date records of assessments, attendance, planning, syllabus, and reports.Monitors student progress and adjusts instruction accordingly.Works collaboratively with subject area teachers, planning units, sharing resources, and moderating assessments.Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to 21st-century learning.Attends curriculum planning meetings, faculty meetings, and department meetings.Keeps parents informed about student progress by writing academic progress reports.Keeps abreast of developments in the curriculum by reading current literature and syllabus updates and participating in professional development opportunities offered by the school.Contributes to enhancing the school community for our students by supervising a club or coaching a sport.Is willing to serve on committees that review school policies and procedures.Is enthusiastic and resourceful in creating meaningful learning experiences for all students.Is a positive, respectful, collaborative member of the school community in all interactions with colleagues and students.Is adaptable and flexible and highly tolerant of change.APPLYShare to FacebookShare to TwitterShare to LinkedInShare to PinterestShare to EmailPrint this page
