Nail Technician

As Nail Technician you will become an expert in your field providing nail analysis, maintenance regiments and nail services including basic manicures, pedicures, gel manicures and enhancement services. You will strive to be the most technically advanced and educated Beauty Expert. The goal is to exceed client needs and expectations by providing individualized services and treatments and view your job as providing the ultimate experience to our clients. Recommend action steps to enhance the client experience and achieve performance goals through tracking and continuous improvement.

Nature of WorkProtect the Public’s Health, Safety and Welfare in the practice of Nail TechnologyDemonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills and abilities in the practice of Nail TechnologyProvide various nail care services including basic manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, treatments and enhancement services. Provide product recommendations and service recommendations throughout the client experience. Ensure clients are comfortable offering beverages, light bites etc. Tidying after each client service (including sweeping the floor) and keeping and maintaining a clean salon for our clients. Track and monitor attainment toward performance goals. Communicate with the Proprietor as needed, including One-on-One and team meetings.

Participate in on-going education to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities. Present an appropriate Nail Lounge image at all times by upholding Mission, Vision and Core ValuesJob RequirementsMust hold a current, valid License/Certification issued by an accredited institution. At least 1 year experience in related fieldMust provide and maintain the required equipment and tools for the Job. Treat all clients and other team members with the utmost of respect. Overall pleasant, courteous and professional mannerArrive to work 15 minutes before business hours to prepare for clients and work environmentAttend mandatory salon meetings.

Cosmetology Proficiency – Provide each Service to demonstrate exceptional use of knowledge, training, skill, experience and competency. Time Management – Set and maintain a clearly defined work schedule with balance in personal and professional life. Soliciting Clients – Soliciting The Nail Lounge clients for services offered by The Nail Lounge outside of its premise is ground for immediate dismissal; The Nail Lounge clients should book appointments through the Front Desk Coordinator. Goal Setting – Define then write daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals to increase service and retail sales.

Marketing – Build referral business to generate a minimum of at least 2 two new clients per week. Pre-Booking – Pre-Book a minimum of 80% of your clients daily. Use consistently our prebooking techniques with every client. Consultation – Learn, know and use the Client Consultation form with all clients. Tracking and Results – Track and Analyze attainment toward Performance Goals—including measurement of service dollars, retail dollars, number of clients served weekly, monthly, etc. Continuous Improvement – Evaluate strengths and weaknesses then create a winning strategy to improve results.

Appearance – Present an appropriate image that appeals to the expectations of The Nail Lounge, your clientele, and self. Always present the image of selling beauty services.
