NDT Technician

Main Purpose:This position offers a long-term and rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated inspection team operating within a piping prefabrication yard in Dortmund. As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality non-destructive testing services on prefabricated pipe spools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.Candidates must be prepared to undertake an intensive 3 week training course in the equipment operation, data acquisition, and data analysis procedures and pass an independent practical trial qualification exam in all aspects prior to deployment.Key Responsibilities:Perform NDT inspections using Auto UT on prefabricated pipe spools.Accurately interpret and report inspection results in line with applicable procedures and acceptance criteria.Conduct and record daily equipment checks to ensure functionality and compliance.Follow all internal and site-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) protocols.Carry out point-of-work risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.Provide support and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians.Maintain clear and concise inspection record QA sheets.Experience & Qualifications:Essential:NDT certifications PCN Level 2/3 or equivalent ISO 9712 certification in Ultrasonics (UT), TOFD and Phased Array (PA),Computerised / AUT scanning & data analysisExperience in NDT inspection of prefabricated piping systems or similar fabrication environments.Good EnglishDesirable:Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work unsupervised.Proficiency in Ultravision Software
