Job title: Network EngineerClient: Elite FinTechSalary: $150,000-$300,000 + BonusLocation: New YorkSkills: Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Multicast, Low Latency, Python, Ansible, LinuxThe role:My client are looking for a Senior Network Engineer, comfortable working in a dynamic low latency environment.You will have experience ideally with Multicast technologies, and be able to participate in network automation via technologies such as Python and Ansible.Key Responsibilities:Architect and implement highly available network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud environmentsTranslate complex business and technical requirements into resilient and scalable network designsLead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and vendor coordinationEvaluate emerging technologies to enhance performance, security, and operational efficiencyProvide escalation support (L3) for critical incidents affecting network performance or availabilityContribute to automation and monitoring initiatives, continuously improving network observability and reliabilityProduce high-quality documentation and network diagrams to support operational transparency and future developmentRequired Experience:Enterprise network engineering experience, ideally within high-performance or latency-sensitive environmentsExpertise in core routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, EVPN, STP, MLAG/vPC, VLAN/VxLANProficiency in multicast technologies: PIM, IGMP, MSDP, SSMStrong familiarity with Cisco and Arista platformsProven experience with data center and office network buildoutsDeep understanding of network security concepts: AAA, control planes, device hardeningCloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Python, Ansible)Familiarity with observability and orchestration tools (Prometheus, Elastic Stack, Grafana)CCIE preferred
