Network Engineer

Summary: You’d be part of Network Engineering team, responsible for architecting, automating, and managing the entire global network infrastructure. This spans on-premises data centers and all three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), including GovCloud environments used for Federal development and hosting.  Responsibilities: Cloud-Centric Focus A big chunk of the role is keeping company’s multi-cloud network stable and secure: Supporting and managing AWS, Azure, and GCP network/security infrastructure. Ensuring network performance and availability for both internal and customer-facing systemsSecurity & Compliance for Federal Services Since the scope includes GovCloud deployments, compliance and security for federal workloads are part of the project’s core responsibilities. That means firewalls, VPNs, authentication systems, and ensuring configurations meet regulatory requirementsOperational Responsibilities Monitoring support queues, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and applying corrective action. Building automation into network operations using Python and Terraform. Hands-on with network hardware vendors (Cisco, Broadcom, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).Collaboration & Impact The role directly contributes to TechOps Infrastructure, supporting company’s federal development teams and cloud-hosted services. You’d be building in a collaborative, agile team where the work is tied directly to company-wide uptime, performance, and scalability Team Technical Stack: Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP (GovCloud). Networking: IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MBGP, VPN, L2 switching, VxLAN, WAN. Vendors/Hardware: Cisco (IOS, NX-OS, ASR, Meraki), Broadcom, Mellanox, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet.Load Balancers: Citrix NetScaler, AVI, NGINX, HA Proxy. Security: Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), Network Authentication, VPN tech, 802.1x. Automation: Python, Terraform Must have skills for this role: 7+ years network engineering. At least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with enterprise-level design/implementation. Deep understanding of enterprise networking and protocols. Hands-on with multiple vendors.
