Kobre & Kim consistently seeks exceptional candidates with the talent to deliver outstanding service that anticipates client needs.Position DetailsThe Network Security Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and managing the network infrastructure for advanced problem resolution and maintenance of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, and cloud Hybrid networking, availability, optimization, and redundancy in a 24/7 environment. Maintains oversight of IT and vendors regarding the security maintenance of their systems and applications. Provides weekly project status reports, including outstanding issues.SupervisorDirector, Global Information SecurityLocation: Hong Kong or SeoulIn Office: Five days a week (Monday – Friday)Primary Responsibilities (But Not Limited To)Manage configuration and maintenance of global enterprise network environment‪Perform analysis, diagnostics, and resolution of complex network and voice problems for the firm which may include coordination, installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshootingDesign and implement secure network solutions to defend against hackers, cyber-attacks, and other persistent threatsManage the day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of the enterprise data communications networks including the repair of all network based equipmentMonitor reliability of networks across multiple platforms and traffic for unusual activity using tools like SIEM and packet analyzersCreate and maintain network users/permissionsInterface with global telecom and network providers to make configuration changes and troubleshoot network issuesProvide primary and secondary support responsibilities for key network and infrastructure applicationsManage multiple vendor relationships across different countries and time zonesPerform and assess risk of vulnerability scansLeverages advanced investigative skills using best in class data correlation and network/packet/log analysis tools.Perform root cause analysis for network outages or other impacting issues including investigating and responding to security incidents and breachesConducts research and evaluates new industry hardware and software to stay current on emerging technologies, market trends, future expectations, latest cybersecurity trends, and threatsMaintain system documentation and departmental proceduresFollow Firm security policies and approval processes when making network changesDocument all network changes in department ticketing systemDevelop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standardsPromote awareness of applicable regulatory standards, upstream risks, and industry best practices across the Firm. This position requires regular, predictable, and timely attendance at work to meet department workload demands.Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA)Perform other duties as assignedSkills/RequirementsBachelor’s Degree, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Smartsheet or related applicationsUnderstanding of MS Azure or similar cloud-based services is a plusCCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) certification is required for this position; the certification must be kept current. CCNP is a plus4+ years experience in a network administration role administering IT network security controls in an organizationExperience with Cisco Meraki WIFI‪Administration and operational experience with enterprise-class routers, firewalls, and switches (Cisco and Palo Alto Required)Working knowledge of security tools such as a SEIM, vulnerability scanners, EDR, etc.Understanding of networking technologies and topologies (i.e. TCP/IP, VOIP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSec, RIP, SNMP, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN) and remote access connectivity requirementsExperience with Azure and VMware networkingAbility to design and maintain high-availability network configurations Advanced understanding of telecommunications (VoIP), routers, switches, session border controllers and network optimization hardwareAbility to interface and troubleshoot connectivity and client-related issuesExperience with Zoom Phones, Video Conferencing and Session Border Controllers (SBC) is a plusDemonstrated skills in project management, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills requiredExperience building positive relationships based on trust, predictability, and communicationOutstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to analyze problems and to formulate and design solutions.Experience creating processes and documenting proceduresKnowledge of SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight)Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001Experience successfully working independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solvingPrior experience working within a law firm preferred.Company DescriptionKobre & Kim is a conflict-free global law firm focused exclusively on disputes and investigations, often involving fraud and misconduct.
