Job Title: Network Security Pre-Sales EngineerJob Summary:The Network Security Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding, defining, and delivering customized network security solutions that align with customer requirements. This role provides subject matter expertise, technical consulting, and knowledge transfer on network security technologies, products, and services. The engineer collaborates closely with sales teams to design and present technical proposals that effectively address client needs and secure business opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Translate customer business and technical requirements into tailored IT products and network security solutions.Analyze customer environments and define detailed business and technical needs.Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate and influence customers on network security solutions.Perform competitive analysis of network security products and technologies; coordinate findings with sales teams to refine proposals and positioning.Ensure continuous certification and training for vendor memberships (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba) to maintain technical credibility and compliance.Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively present new solutions to customers.Develop detailed technical solution designs in response to RFPs, including preparation of technical proposals, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), Visio diagrams, and Statements of Work (SOW).Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Alliances, Bidding, Project Management, and Post-Sales teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.Create high-level network design architectures that align with customer requirements and industry best practices.Assess existing customer network infrastructure and recommend appropriate security solutions to address identified vulnerabilities and gaps.Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demos to validate security solutions and demonstrate value.Deliver compelling product and solution presentations to clients, articulating technical benefits and business impact.Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.Job Specifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Training & Certifications:Vendor certifications such as Cisco CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) Levels 3-5, Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA), or equivalent are highly desirable.Training in network security fundamentals, cybersecurity best practices, firewall management, VPN, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security architecture design.Specialization: Information Technology with focus on Network Security.Experience: Minimum 3 years in network security pre-sales, solution design, or related roles.Technical Skills & Knowledge:Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Aruba products including switches, routers, access points, wireless controllers, Meraki solutions, firewalls, and VPN technologies.Strong understanding of network security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint protection, VPNs, and threat management systems.Expertise in analyzing and mitigating cybersecurity threats and proposing effective solutions.Proven experience in pre-sales consulting, solution design, and technical proposal development.Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including passive components (fiber optics, copper cabling) and active networking devices.Ability to design scalable and secure network architectures tailored to customer environments and requirements.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
