We have an exciting opportunity for you here at NZME to join our Marketing team as an Assistant Brand Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing primary marketing services and support to the wider Publishing and Audio Marketing team, working across some of NZ's most-loved brands such as the Business Desk, Gold Sport and rural brands such as Hokonui and The Country. Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing and brand activity: Collaborate across teams to deliver creative, insight-driven briefs and campaigns that reflect brand values and continuously improve through performance analysis. Maintain systems that ensure timely access to accurate marketing collateral across NZME markets, while monitoring usage for consistency.

Communicate updates to brand materials and guidelines across business units, and track metrics and stakeholder collaboration. Communication, Relationship And Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong, mutually beneficial relationships through effective conflict resolution, timely stakeholder engagement, and follow approval processes that support brand alignment and business priorities. Strategy, Planning, Reporting And Financial ManagementCollaborate with content and product leads to create audience-informed brand experiences using insights and market trends. Monitor campaign effectiveness through tracking and post-analysis, while managing workload and stakeholder expectations. About YouAt least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.

A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or similar (highly beneficial but not essential). Good copywriting skills and attention to detail. A flair for creativity and conceptual thinking, bonus points for design knowledge!Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, confident collaborating with everyone from creatives to content editors. Superb organisation skills. Multi-tasking and juggling multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously is essential. An audience-first mindset, with a willingness to explore data and trends to guide decisions. Adaptability to new platforms and technologies (including A. I tools), and the drive to continue growing in your career.
