The purpose of this role is to assist in the daily running of the Front Office department, ensuring that all M&C procedures and targets are met.Shift pattern: 4 days in & 4 days off and Duration: 12 hrs/dayKey responsibilities as a Night Porter:Act as the welcoming face of the hotel during night hours, delivering courteous, prompt, and personalised serviceAssist guests with requests, queries, comments, and concerns, ensuring timely follow-upTransport guest luggage to/from rooms, lobby, or vehicles, ensuring all items are correctly accounted forMaintain effective communication with all departments to support smooth overnight operationsComplete all scheduled night tasks and provide a clear handover at the end of the shiftSafely store and manage luggage in accordance with hotel guidelinesWork collaboratively with the Night Security team to ensure the safety and security of guests and staffMaintain thorough knowledge of fire evacuation and emergency proceduresTake personal responsibility and use teamwork to deliver a safe and well-maintained environmentAs a Night Porter, the essential skills required:Previous experience as a night porter, concierge, or in a similar overnight roleComfortable working independently overnight and making sound decisionsExcellent customer-service, interpersonal, and communication skillsCalm under pressure, reliable, and responsibleTakes pride in maintaining safety, cleanliness, and presentation standardsFlexible and able to support operational needs during busy periods or eventsAbout The HotelThe Millennium Hotel London Knightsbridge is a 4-star deluxe, contemporary hotel, situated on the impressive location of Knightsbridge, the heart of one of the capital's most upmarket shopping districts.
