NOC Engineer – DWDM / Ciena Specialist (Manila, Philippines)

We are looking for an experienced NOC Engineer based in Manila, Philippines, with strong hands-on expertise in DWDM, Ciena 6500 series, RLS, and Waveserver platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, configuring, provisioning, and troubleshooting optical network services within a multi-vendor DWDM environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWork extensively on DWDM optic projects, ensuring smooth operations and service delivery.Perform link additions, channel additions, service provisioning, and alarm monitoring on Ciena platforms.Manage and operate the Ciena DWDM ecosystem, including Network Management Systems (NMS).Conduct advanced troubleshooting for Ciena 6500, RLS, and Waveserver.Configure, modify, and delete services as needed across Ciena devices.Handle channel balancing, node integration, and service creation using Ciena NMS.Prepare detailed technical documents including DCN Plans, LLDs, FRVs, SFDs, and NDDs.Work with control plane technologies and ensure network stability and uptime. Required Skills & Experience5–10 years of relevant industry experience in optical networking / DWDM.Strong hands-on experience with Ciena 6500 series, RLS, and Waveserver.Proven expertise in:Channel & service configurationTroubleshooting on Ciena devicesDWDM link commissioningChannel additions & service creation within multi-vendor DWDM networksExperience preparing low-level designs and network documentation.Bachelor’s degree (BS/B-Tech/BE) in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields preferred.
