This pivotal role will be responsible for managing the quotation process for new product launches across our Asian manufacturing facilities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in our production processes.Lead the quotation process for new product launches in the Asian market, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather accurate cost informationAnalyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to develop competitive yet profitable quotationsCoordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce costsManage relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materialsDevelop and maintain detailed cost models and financial projections for new product launchesPresent quotations and financial analyses to senior management and clientsMonitor market trends and competitor pricing to maintain our competitive edge in the Asian manufacturing landscapeImplement and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on quotation activities and outcomesEnsure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards in all quotation processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related industry, with a focus on cost process and technology value stream analysis and quotationProven track record in managing new product launches in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and cost drivers in the Asian marketExcellent analytical skills with proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skillsDemonstrated ability to develop and analyze complex cost models with focus on Total cost for ManufacturingStrong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholdersFluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plusExperience working in or with Asian manufacturing facilitiesKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferredWillingness to travel within Asia as required for the roleAdditional InformationNew Prodcut Launch Manufacturing Quote Manager (NPL MQ) serves all aquisition projects in BA UX centrally. NPL MQ is first contact for Segments and Customer Center to coordinate within UX Operation to deliver an aligned and competitive input for quotation. Ensure usage of Standard Manufacturing concepts and agree on a efficient quotation stategy. If deviations are identied during DFM@Quote a close alignment with UX Operation nominated acquisition team is neccassary to further improve the Manufacturing Concepts. A close alignment with Footprint and Strategy is needed to define the prefered Manufacturing footprint. The coordination, communication and systematic execution with the acquisition team is a priority. MQF (Manufacturing Quote & Footprint) network represents UX Operation to Segments and Plants during the acquisition phase.
