Job Description

ROLE DESCRIPTIONThe Operations Analyst for Britannia Global Investments via CIMAS Consulting will be responsible for supporting the processing, settlement, and reconciliation of a variety of financial products, ensuring all activity is accurate, timely, and compliant with procedures. This is a hands-on role requiring prior experience in financial operations, with scope to get involved in process improvements and project work alongside day-to-day duties. CIMAS Consulting is the dedicated services company for Britannia Financial Group based from The Scalpel Building in Bishopsgate.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Trade Processing & SettlementsAccurately input, check, and maintain trade details in internal systemsLiaise directly with counterparties to confirm trade details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely settlementProcess client position transfers in and out from external brokers and custodiansMonitor and help manage failed trades, escalating persistent issues to managementAssist with the processing of standard corporate action events such as dividends, coupon payments, and redemptions2. ReconciliationsComplete daily cash and stock reconciliations, investigating breaks promptly and following through to resolutionEscalate unresolved reconciliation issues with clear, auditable commentary3. Reporting & Compliance SupportAssist with preparing recurring operational and regulatory reportsEnsure that operational processes adhere to company policies and relevant regulations4. Continuous Improvement & Team SupportIdentify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce riskContribute to team projects, including system upgrades and process changesKeep procedural documentation accurate and up to dateEXPERIENCE REQUIREDExperience in financial operations, settlements, or middle office roleExtensive Equities trade life cycle and settlement experienceGood working knowledge of trade life cycle and settlement processesFamiliarity with reconciliations and corporate actionsAwareness of industry regulations affecting settlements and custody preferredSkillsStrong attention to detail and high accuracy levelsConfident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external counterpartiesStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressureGood Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESProactive and solution-focusedTeam player with a collaborative approachAble to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environmentSYSTEM KNOWLEDGE (DESIRABLE)Settlement or reconciliation systems (e.g., Broadridge, Crest, Euroclear, or similar)
