Accountant - Taxation

Qualification: Candidates must hold an MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification, with professional certifications such as ACCA, ICMA, or CA Inter preferred. Experience:

Candidate should hold up to 8 years of diversified experience, including 3 years specifically in taxationIn-depth understanding of Pakistani tax laws (direct and indirect)Expertise in tax accounting and financial reportingExperience with SAP tax configurationsStrong proficiency in MS Office and tax computation toolsExperience in a Chartered Accountant firm would be an added advantageResponsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely compliance with direct and indirect tax laws. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including sales tax, advance tax estimates, and income tax filings. Compute and post monthly tax provisions (current and deferred tax) following applicable laws and accounting standards.

Provide tax certificates and supporting documentation to vendors and internal stakeholders on time. Support tax audits by preparing tax charge workings, disclosures, and ensuring the timely resolution of queries. Assist in tax litigation and appeals by preparing replies, compiling documentation, and liaising with tax authorities. Monitor daily tax law updates and advise management on implications and compliance adjustments. Maintain accurate and comprehensive tax records and documentation for audits, internal reviews, and statutory requirements.
