Job SummaryMeta Music Education is looking for a Part-Time Assistant Manager. This role is about leadership, connection, and responsibility. You’ll be the friendly face families see when they walk in, the calm presence when things get busy, and the confident Assistant Manager to the Studio Manager in keeping operations sharp and clients happy. You’ll help manage lesson schedules, support teachers, oversee trial lessons, and keep systems and schedules organized. But more than that, you’ll take ownership of the environment — building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to create an environment where people feel excited, seen, and supported.Ideal candidates are reliable, organized, coachable, passionate about helping others, and understand that the sales aspect of customer service is essential to student growth and retention. Music experience is a plus, but not required. A strong sense of fiscal responsibility, great communication skills, and a proactive, people-first mindset are essential.About UsMeta Music Education is a recording studio built to teach students the music they love and to help them unlock their creativity. Meta Music Education is more than just music lessons; it’s project-based, language-immersion learning designed to adapt to each student’s personality, interests, and style.Job ScheduleSaturdays and Sundays: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PMMondays: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PMCompensation Starts at $18-$22 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee Daily OperationsEnsure smooth day-to-day management of lessons and bands, including scheduling and billing, while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for clients.Act as the on-site problem solver and leader when the Studio Manager is absent, making key decisions to keep things running seamlessly for staff and clients.Take ownership of the space and atmosphere — you're the one "running for mayor," building relationships and being a familiar, trusted presence for students, parents, and teachers. Manage Sales and Client ExperienceHelp oversee and manage the trial lesson process with reliability, professionalism, and a personable, high-energy approach.Build rapport with new and returning families to create loyalty and trust.Assist the Studio Manager with overseeing the 7 stages of the client life cycle to ensure consistent, high-quality engagement and nurturing across all stages.Understand that sales and client retention are essential parts of the role.Assist with sales-related projects and initiatives with confidence and collaboration, displaying determination and openness to learning.Support Teachers and StudentsServe as the primary point of contact for instructors, students, and families during shifts.Address concerns promptly and professionally, facilitating clear, positive communication.Support instructors with resources, schedule changes, and student engagement.Serve the team — lead with empathy, and provide encouragement and clarity in a collaborative environment.
