This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.Position RequirementsAll Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours: Mon - Fri 4:00pm - 8:00pm, with some Saturdays 10:30am - 2:30pm.This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. No relocation packages are available.Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.We encourage you to apply if you have most of the following requirements:EducationUniversity students with excellent knowledge of the current Grades 11-12 math curriculum, but not limited to Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus, and VectorsTeaching certification an assetExperienceSome experience teaching/tutoring math at Grades 11 and 12Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understandingStrong written and oral English communication skillsAbility to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a timeResponsibilities (Position Details)You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:Helping High School students with their math schoolworkFollowing the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophiesFilling in post-lesson notesCompleting daily student communication updatesMaintaining a friendly and professional manner at all timesSmiles, High-Fives & Happy StudentsRoleIn this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
