Mission: To create a transformative educational experience for students, providing deep disciplinary knowledge, leadership skills, communication and personal well-being.Position DescriptionWestern Balkans University is seeking to appoint a Part-Time Lecturer in the field of Prosthodontics III, to provide teaching and academic support to students of the Dentistry program.The lecturer is expected to be specialized in the field of Dental Prosthodontics, with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the design, fabrication, and application of fixed and combined prostheses, as well as in the oral rehabilitation of patients with partial or complete edentulism. The candidate should be capable of conducting both theoretical and practical sessions, demonstrating modern techniques in tooth preparation, impression taking, model mounting, and the functional and aesthetic fitting of prosthetic restorations. Additionally, proficiency in the use of advanced prosthetic materials and knowledge of digital technologies in the field (such as CAD/CAM systems and intraoral scanning) is required.This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of academic and professional quality, as well as to assist students in developing their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in this important field of contemporary dentistry.Duties And ResponsibilitiesTo recognize, respect, implement and act in accordance with the legislation and internal legal acts in force; To implement the provisions of the statute and internal regulations of the institution; To implement the rules of ethics and discipline in the institution, avoiding any action inside and outside the institution that harms the image of the institution; Undertake tasks related to student supervision, organizing academic consultations and advising; Engage in the implementation of administrative tasks in the department which are defined in the relevant instructions; To respect the time allocated for teaching according to the official schedule approved for the development of lecture, seminar, laboratory and practical classes; To fulfill the obligation to draft the syllabus and submit it after approval by the head of the basic unit according to the instructions in for; To increase professional academic skills and participate in training activities for this purpose; Participate in scientific research activities and training in accordance with his/her profile (field of study), according to the needs and determinations of the institution; To undergo an evaluation of the performance of academic staff; To report at the end of each academic year on all aspects of the organization of teaching for the relevant discipline according to the predetermined format; To contribute to the development, planning, updating and implementation of a high-quality curriculum; Assist in the development of learning materials, and record keeping to monitor student progress, achievement and participation; update learning materials and syllabus; Participate in department and faculty seminars aimed at presenting research work and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department; Participate in the development, administration, marking of exams and other assessments; To contribute to the group work of the department, faculty or Western Balkans University.Job RequirementsEducation And QualificationsMinimum scientific degree Phd or academic title Prof. Assoc.English language skills: Level C1.Experience in teaching, tutoring or clinical supervision.Participation in endodontic research, publications in indexed journals, participation in conferences.Certificates and Qualifications in the field of Prosthodontics.Application ProcedureTo apply, the candidate must send the following documents to the address:hr@wbu.edu.al:Application through the application form on the website of the Western Balkans University” (https://forms.gle/QTePdKM86PVvxR316)Personal Biography (Europass CV)
