Part-time Technologists - Veterinary Technician (VTT) and Veterinary Assistant (VTA) Programs

Note: These are part-time Support positions (up to 24 hours per week) starting January 7, 2026, and ending on April 17, 2026.Note: These positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London, ON N5Y 5R6.Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, the part-time Technologists support faculty and students in the Animal Health laboratories within the Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant programs at Fanshawe College. These positions are responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences and ensuring a safe, organized, and effective lab environment.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the delivery of medical simulations using standardized skill sheets Performing data entry and evaluation using checklists Setting up and dismantling skill stations Ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols and control standardsQualificationsRegistered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or working towards RVT designation Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant work experience in a veterinary practice setting Experience in an educational or veterinary clinical teaching setting is preferred An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail A strong commitment to student engagement and success Ability to multi-task and work independently Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds Proven ability to work in a team environment Experience working with students in a professional learning environment would be considered an assetEducational CredentialsWhile transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory as a condition of employment.Equity, Diversity and InclusionFanshawe College is an equal opportunity employer.
