Working at AstraZeneca, we believe in the potential of our people and our commitment to develop our people beyond what was thought possible.The Payment Services Manager will serve as a member of the Global Business Services (GBS) – in CLS Team and manage technical and administrative aspects of payment coordination for systems and processes related to Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and external expert (EE) contract-to-pay requests. The Payment Services Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant processing of payments in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and transparency/disclosure reporting requirements. The role will also be responsible for providing purchasing support related to management of associated payments. A successful candidate will conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements and will provide guidance to customers, management and peers.Major ResponsibilitiesEngage with external stakeholders (External Experts) in compliance with AstraZeneca SOP’s, maintaining professionalism and high ethical standards throughout all interactions whilst protecting reputational risk to the business.Process prompt and timely Invoices in accordance with Service Level Agreements to achieve Key Performance Indicator targets Initiate the process for reimbursing the External Expert for services including any out-of-pocket expenses.Work with the Business Engagement Owner and/or Medical Communications agency to collect relevant data and documents and agree to payment of appropriate fees and expenses.Manage and resolving incoming escalations and queries from Activity Owners and External ExpertsAct as a Subject Matter Expert for Payment and AP ProcessesProvide Training to New Joiners and other colleaguesAssure all Job Aids for Payment Process are up to dateEnsure accurate and timely vendor set up to mitigate payment delaysUtilize and maintain simple yet comprehensive payment templates and tools, as needed.Maintain tracker/dashboards/systems to be able to generate useful reports to customers (activity owners, business leaders, etc)Maintain and ensure data integrity in SAP, Coupa and other relevant systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of updates.Assimilate and adopt new systems, tools and processes where these are required for delivering the role.Education/Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceGood understanding of Account Payable processesUnderstanding of Healthcare Professionals (HCP), Healthcare Organization (HCO) payment processProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database managementMust have working knowledge of the following systems/tools: SAP, Coupa, SmartsheetsPositive ‘can do’ attitudeAble to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and turnaround times, work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenariosStrong attention to detailsProblem solving skillsCapable of working independently but also take instruction and direction from othersExcellent written and verbal communications skillsHigh ethical standards; trustworthiness; operate with absolute discretion.Proactive and consultative customer service, having the ability to identify customer needs and respond creatively, listening to information, asking probing questions, applying knowledge and determining solutionsAbility to work across cultures and geographical boundariesAt AstraZeneca we’re dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
