Job Description

Payroll Officer — Limassol, CyprusICan School is seeking for a Payroll Officer to handle payroll operations for 3 entities (~120 employees), with an expansion to 5 entities (150+ employees) within the next year.This is a new position. At present, payroll is managed partly through outsourcing and partly by accountants and administrators. The role has been created to centralize and optimize payroll processes, with the aim of transitioning fully in-house.Detailed Responsibilities- Full-cycle payroll processing (gross-to-net calculations, salary payments, deductions, and regulatory compliance). Initially: review and validate outsourced payroll results; later: bring payroll fully in-house.- Registration of employees and data submission in ERGANI and SISNET, assisting employees with tax registration- Setup and improvement of payroll workflows.- Gross-to-net simulations for hiring decisions and employment contracts.- Accurate calculations for full-time, part-time and hourly-paid employees.- Correct application of PAYE exemptions (20% and 50%), including creation of a practical checklist.- Collecting and verifying employee documentation (IDs, contracts, bank accounts, etc.).- Maintaining employee records: attendance, sick leave, days off, overtime, allowances, leave balances.- Handling termination payrolls (including proper application of tax exemptions).- Payroll budgeting and preparation of payment requests based on payslips.- Management of service contracts with physical persons (calculations, invoicing etc.).- Active support for employees regarding payroll queries, payslips, and tax return assistance.Candidate Profile- University degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field.- Proven payroll experience in Cyprus including knowledge of specific software (Payroll by Codeworks, PremierPayroll System etc).- Strong knowledge of Cyprus tax/social insurance system.- Experience with ERGANI is a must.- Strong English; Greek and Russian is a plus.- Detail-oriented, structured, able to handle growing headcount.We Offer:- Competitive salary (based on experience) - Paid holidays & benefits - Supportive team & professional growth - Fun, dynamic work atmosphere
