Curalta delivers exceptional service to patients by offering best-in-class administrative support to its practices and providers.This opportunity is for a Full Time Payroll Specialist in our Rochelle Park, NJ, Practice Support Center.The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and reconciliation of the Bi-weekly payroll and the administration of the payroll system. The Payroll Specialist processes the bi-weekly payroll for the 4 entities for the Curalta network.Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracyMaintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, & federal legislation affecting payrollUpdates payroll records and records/tracks payroll changes as neededPerforms basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each pay cycleUnderstands and follows applicable provisions for a compliant payrollCoordinates payroll processing with HR/Benefits teamResponds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reportingEnsures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptlyTracks and records updates to payroll records to ensure the correct outcome of the bi-weekly payroll processPrepares payroll related reportsCoordinates with HR team, manager, Sun Life, and employee the LOA requests relating to payroll related itemsTracking benefit premiums while one is on LOAEnsure timely communications with employees regarding missed premium paymentsEnsure missed premium payments are captured timelyCoordinates with HR team, benefits vendor, employee regarding benefits enrollment or changes relating to payroll related itemsTracking changes in benefits impacting premiumsCoordinates with HR team regarding new hires and terminated employees related to pay changesVacation payoutProrated payrollAdheres to the attendance policyPerforms other related duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceAssociate's degree in finance or human resources preferred or related field and/or equivalent experienceAt least three years’ experience with payroll requiredProficient with Microsoft Office 365 suiteWorking understanding of payroll principles, practices, and proceduresSkills And AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentAbility to keep confidential information confidential.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwarePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift to 15 pounds at times Pay Range: $28 - $35 per hour
