The Generalist understands the rhythm of a software company and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly—from recruiting and onboarding to engagement programs to maintaining clean, accurate data in the HRIS.The People Generalist is curious, approachable, and proactive, always looking for ways to make the employee experience a little better each day.What You Will Do:Responsibilities:Core HR:Serve as the primary administrator for our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) ensuring accurate and timely data entry for job changes, new hires, terminations, and organizational updatesOwn the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, orientation, I-9 verification, engagement touchpoints, and offboardingPartner with department leaders to ensure onboarding plans and employee transitions are seamless and well-coordinatedAdminister and manage employee engagement and recognition programs (Bonusly, Snappy, Wellable) including setup, maintenance, and usage reportingProvide guidance and support to employees on policies, leaves of absence, conduct or capability concerns, and other People-related matters, escalating when outside of scopeMaintain electronic employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection and record retention standardsParticipate in policy communication, handbook maintenance, and HR documentation updatesCoordinate employee communications, recognition gestures, and People-related logistics that enhance engagement and reinforce company cultureSupport compliance initiatives and HR audits, including employment eligibility and document reviewsPartner with the VP of People on projects and process improvements that strengthen the employee experience, streamline operations, and advance People team effectivenessRecruiting:Manage full-cycle recruiting for open roles — from posting and sourcing to screening, coordinating interviews, and extending offersPartner with hiring managers to deliver an organized, candidate-friendly hiring experienceSupport and maintain accurate recruiting metrics and dashboardsPerform any other duties needed to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our ValuesWhat You Will Bring: Required Skills: Proven experience managing or maintaining an HRIS, preferably ADP Workforce NowFamiliarity with JazzHR, LinkedIn Recruiter, and HR data managementDemonstrate a solid understanding of HR practices and compliance requirements across onboarding, leave management, employment law, and employee relationsExcellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through — keeping systems accurate and employees informedDemonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze situations, make sound judgments, and propose practical solutionsComfort operating in ambiguity and navigating evolving priorities with confidence and adaptabilityClear, approachable communication style with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentialitySelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyPreferred Skills (Nice-to-haves): Experience supporting employee engagement and wellness programsExposure to payroll or benefits processes (data entry, reporting, or audit support)Prior experience in a software or technology company environmentExperience: 3–5 years of experience in a People Generalist or HR Generalist role with exposure to the full employee lifecyclePhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
