Job Description

Job PurposeTo ensure effective and efficient operation and maintenance (Preventive/Predictive) of packing plant & Maintenance (Preventive/Predictive) of Jetty by optimizing operations, maximizing availability and carrying out modification / improvement jobs for cost reduction & productivity improvement to achieve business targets.Key Result AreasKRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)KRA1 Accountability- Plant AvailabilityPlan, organize and monitor implementation activities for optimum plant availability in Mechanical discipline as per the targets to meet operational from Packing Plant & jetty as per requirement and satisfaction of internal & external customer. Monitor preventive maintenance schedule for implementation. Review the weekly / major shutdown plans. Analyze major breakdowns and plan corrective actions. Interact with OEMs / Consultants for typical plant maintenance problems. Facilitate and reorganize required manpower within the existing. Manpower available within the unit. Recommend for taking contract labor from outside for major jobs. Meet regularly internal customers to take feedback & communicate to concerned for corrective action. Extending help required to internal customer.Resolving the issues immediately and extending support to external customersKRA2 Cost ControlPlan, Monitor & Control material, lubricant, Inventory and manpower cost as per budget in mechanical maintenance activities in Packing Plant in order to optimize maintenance costs Develop Vendor for import substitution. Monitor & Guide for inventory reduction, Standardization & Optimization. Carryout life value analysis of repetitive breakdowns and high value spares. Identify & track key value drivers for maintenance cost reduction through monthly progress review meeting. Optimize Lubrication consumption. Consolidate and forward annual requirement of spares for better purchase price. Control utilization of contract manpower and over time. Prepare budget. Monitor expenditure with respect to budget. To take correction action.KRA3 Plant Equipment Up Gradation & ImprovementStudy and recommend Capex jobs for equipment up gradation/ debottlenecking to improve plant availability and productivity. - Identify the weak link Interact with OEMs / Consultants. Plan for revisions of specifications / drawings. Formulate proposal & seek budget approval. Assist project team in execution.KRA4 System Management:-(Coordinate, organize & monitor effective implementation of IMS and other systems in Packing section for improvement of productivity and creating safe work culture) -To plan & execute timely ABOEF process activities in respective Section like5S, BCE, hygiene, Model area, illumination, good maintenance practices, visual & Lubrication management, QCDIPSHE performance, Kaizen, OPL, improvement projects etc for internal customer satisfaction. Review procedure requirements & recommend amendments for continuous improvement.Actively taking lead in meetings for implementation good practices in improving associated KFA and GRT performance and carry out internal audits to ensure effective implementation of systemsTo inculcate team for reducing repetitive nature problem, training other on tacit knowledge, adapting new technology, bring kaizen & improvement projects, adherence & develop preservation SOP's.Ensure proper implementation of IMS standards by timely updation of documents & control, reviewing standards requirements, taking corrective & preventive action against findings internal and external audit/assessments finding for timely closure for 100% compliance.KRA5 People Management & DevelopmentTo build & sustain a conductive work culture within department to improve productivity, growth & improvements in department performance for overall objective of unit along with motivating employees to institutionalize for bring innovation, creativity, best practices to replicate in the Unit by effective management of people for development of them - Guiding team of SMART and differentiating Goals Setting aligning with Unit and Business targets, time to time review performance and giving or seeking quality real time constructive feedback on performance appraisal and other areas. Empowering team to function independently, boost & maintain employees moral and motivation through employee wellness and wellbeing initiatives within department and having participative culture. Prepare action plan based on Team Vibes Results direct reportee or rollout reportees to enhance engagement level of team.KRA7 Focus on SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives -Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to sectionBuild strong believe and adherence among team about “I know my job”, “I know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measures” & “I escalate to my senior” among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, O&S, WB & CL manpowerEnsure strict compliance of procedures in routine jobs and Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site Timely conducting self and team scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in section head in system To ensure daily Tool Box Talk and deliberating on safety incident or knowledge sharing Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event by self and team Ensure that there is no waste of power in section, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and time to time auditing and rechecking such areas for timely action Ensure good health of self and team and creating awareness among team about sustainability initiatives of unit, business and group.
