Job PurposeMonitor the mechanical erection of the assigned projects and schemes, as per the implementation & quality plan, coordinate for improvement jobs in the plant as and when required to commission the project in budgeted cost and time.Job Context & Major ChallengesJob Context: Job Context:-Pfeiffer Make mill maintenance 2.Fly ash feeding and unloading system maintenance 3.Belt conveyor, apron and weigh feeders maintenance 4.BRU and Grab Crain maintenance 5.Bag house and bag filters knowledge and maintenance and trouble shootingUltraTech Cement Limited has an annual capacity of 52 million tonnes. It manufactures and markets Ordinary Portland Cement Portland Blast Furnace Slag Cement and Portland Pozzalana Cement. It also manufactures ready mix concrete RMC. The company has 11 integrated plants one white cement plant one clinkerisation plant in UAE 15 grinding units 11 in India UltraTech Cement is the country largest exporter of cement clinker. The export markets span countries around the Indian Ocean Africa Europe and the Middle East.2 in UAE one in Bahrain and Bangladesh each and five terminals four in India and one in Sri Lanka. UltraTech Cement is the country largest exporter of cement clinker. The export markets span countries around the Indian Ocean Africa Europe and the Middle East. Sewagram Cement Works was commissioned in 2009. The plant has clinker capacity of 3.6 MTPA and cement capacity of 2.4 MTPA. The Unit has two captive power plants (CPP) CPP-I with 35 MV and CPP-II with 22.5 MV capacity. The Unit has mines with reserve of 246.45 MT, a captive jetty, a desalination plant that can filter around 20 lakh litres of water every day and a bag-making plant. The plant also has an environmental cell which monitors air and water quality, audits, and conducts marine ecological studies and environmental studies of mines and nearby villages.Job ChallengesThe position has to plan and organise mechanical erection of structures and plant equipments and involves close supervision of fabrication, erection and commissioning activities of mechanical work associated with the project. The job holder co-ordinates for painting & insulation jobs, and also procurement jobs related to conveyor belting for entire plant.Observing safety of the machinery and employees while carrying out erection work at heights in running plant.Key Result AreasKRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)KRA1 Project job ExecutionSupervise the mechanical erection work of assigned project/s, to commission it within the stipulated time frame. Scheduling and sequencing the activities as per the project plan¿ Assessing material for fabrication¿ Preparing bill of materials and initiating procurement activities¿ Followup for critical material.¿ Material issue and coordination of erection on site¿ Verification of Bills of suppliers and contractors¿ Monitor the progress of the project against the project schedule.KRA2 Systems ImplementationIncorporate WCM,TQM, ISO,EMS requirements in fabrication/erection activity of allotted section to make it defect free, safe and cost effective. Improve the erection plan by applying MP Design concept.¿ Take precautions to arrest leakages, wastages of material.¿ Implement 5S principles.¿ Ensure doing job right first time.KRA3 1. Cost ControlMonitor the cost of mechanical execution of allotted project to avoid cost over run. ¿ Avoid re-work.¿ Optimise use of steel & avoid wastage.¿ Identify & use of surplus inventory available.¿ Monitor cost with budget.¿ Take corrective action.KRA4 1. Quality ControlMonitor the quality of mechanical jobs of allotted project. Inspection of quality of material received.¿ Insppect quality of fabrication.¿ Witness inspection & testing at suppliers¿ works.¿ Inspection of quality of erection.¿ Defect free handover of project after commissioning.
