The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in retail pharmacy supply chain, strong vendor management skills, demand planning expertise, and proven leadership in multi-state retail operational environments. Candidates with backgrounds solely from Gujarat-based companies or generic pharma manufacturers will not be considered.Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.Lead the complete supply chain lifecycle: procurement, warehousing, distribution, logistics, and inventory planning.Drive cost optimization, efficiency, and operational excellence across supply chain functions. Procurement & Vendor ManagementManage sourcing of pharmaceutical, OTC, wellness, and FMCG products.Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service-level adherence.Build strong partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners. Inventory Management & Demand PlanningEnsure accurate forecasting using sales trends, seasonality, and consumption data.Maintain optimum stock levels across central warehouse and retail outlets.Reduce stock-outs, expiries, and excess inventory through structured planning. Warehouse & Distribution ManagementOversee central and regional warehouse operations, including cold-chain medication handling.Ensure compliance with pharmacy-specific storage, handling, and regulatory norms.Optimize distribution routes, delivery timelines, and logistics costs. Technology & Process ImprovementDrive adoption of WMS/ERP systems for real-time visibility and seamless operations.Implement automation, digital inventory solutions, and data-driven decision tools.Standardize SOPs across supply chain processes. Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including pharmacy and drug-handling norms.Maintain audit readiness across procurement, warehousing, and distribution units.
