We are looking for a Plan Approval Surveyor Machinery who wants to join us in our mission - Shaping a World of Trust.About The RoleWithin our Dutch Plan Approval department, our team of 40 employees are involved in researching and evaluating designs of ships and offshore installations against class rules and statutory regulations with regards to safety and the environment. In this we also act on behalf of a very large number of flag states.As a Plan Approval Surveyor Machinery, you will assess design drawings of ships, with a focus on piping systems, propulsion installations, MARPOL, SOLAS, Ballast Water Management and new fuels. The drawings you assess concern various types of ships: yachts, work vessels, tankers, dredging and inland vessels. Almost all types of ships belong to your working area! In addition to assessing these drawings, we help our customers with all kinds of different questions in the field of maritime regulations. It can be new construction or renovation and the demand can come from the shipyard, the engineering firm or the ship owner. We strive to provide our customers with the best possible service, in order to achieve a result that both meets the set requirements and is practically feasible. In addition to inspecting drawings, you are the point of contact for colleagues in the international Bureau Veritas network.Working in the world of Maritime Technology: Assessing design drawings of ships, being the point of contact for our maritime customers and working together with colleagues in an international team!About YouYou are looking for a great technical career in the maritime sector. It is therefore important that you want to continue to develop yourself and we will help you with this!In Addition, You Recognize Yourself In The Following ProfileCompleted Bachelor or Master education in Mechanical, Maritime Engineering or another related field;A number of years of experience in the maritime sector, experience with ship design or on board experience is an advantage;You are able to start the conversation at all levels; You have good communication skills in Dutch and English;You are able to switch gears and keep an overview between multiple projects;You can work both independently and in a team.What we offerA salary that matches your responsibilities and experience;A maximum of 8% of your gross annual salary as a bonus based on achieved business results and personal goals;24.5 vacation days and 3 ATV days per year (based on a 40-hour working week);Pension scheme based on a defined contribution scheme;Collective health insurance.About UsYou can work hybrid with us: partly at our office in Rotterdam and from home. You can assume 3 days at the office and 2 days from home on a full-time basis. Or a division of 2 days at the office and 2 days at home with a 32-hour working week.
