Job Purpose:The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production, maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. This role focuses on optimizing productivity, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with technical expertise and a proven track record of managing manufacturing or service-oriented plants.Key AccountabilitiesOversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and safety.Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets and business goals.Monitor plant performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.Lead, mentor, and manage plant staff to achieve operational excellence.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and innovation.Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for staff development.Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials.Implement lean manufacturing practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Promote a culture of safety through training, audits, and proactive risk management.Ensure the plant operates in compliance with company policies and industry standards.Maintain high-quality standards for all products and services.Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Prepare and manage the plant’s operational budget.Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.Track and report on financial performance, including variances from the budget.Ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained to minimize downtime.Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance.Evaluate and recommend new equipment or upgrades to improve productivity.QualificationBachelor’s degree.
