Collaborates with Lenders, Credit Officers, and Commercial Loan Administrators (CLA) to maintain high-quality credit administration and effective risk management. Provides advanced credit analysis, monitors borrower performance, and supports strategic decision-making for the Bank’s commercial lending activities.Primary ResponsibilitiesCredit Analysis & Risk Assessment:Conducts detailed financial analysis including cash flow, balance sheet, and income statement review.Performs industry, market, and competitive analyses to assess borrower creditworthiness and potential risk exposures.Prepares comprehensive credit memoranda and risk assessment reports to support lending decisions.Develops and maintains financial models to project borrower performance and evaluate repayment capacity. Portfolio Management & Monitoring:Monitors existing loan portfolio for financial performance, covenant compliance, and risk rating accuracy.Tracks and analyzes borrower covenant compliance; identifies potential breaches and recommends corrective action.Reviews loan concentrations and assesses portfolio risk exposure; proposes risk mitigation strategies.Evaluates and documents potential problem loans and recommends action plans for resolution.Credit Documentation & Compliance:Ensures loan documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with bank policy and regulatory requirements.Reviews and approves loan modifications, renewals, extensions, and restructuring as needed.Prepares internal and external reporting including term sheets, commitment letters, and post-closing memos.Supports internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews. Client Engagement:Partners with Lenders and CLAs to facilitate loan approvals, renewals, and ongoing portfolio management.Engages with clients to resolve issues, provide guidance, and support relationship growth.Provides training and mentorship to junior credit analysts and team members on credit analysis and risk management best practices. Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives:Supports credit policy development, updates, and enhancements.Assists in implementing portfolio risk management strategies and reporting frameworks.Participates in cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, and client experience.Other Duties:Performs additional duties as directed by management.Complies with all consumer and commercial banking regulations and internal policies.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration preferred; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CRCM) a plus.Minimum 3–5 years of commercial credit experience, with demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment.Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, treasury solutions, and loan structuring.Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS) and portfolio management software.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for financial modeling and reporting.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex credit information clearly to management, Lenders, and the Board.Professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and senior leadership.Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $90,000 - 120,000Medical InsuranceHealth Savings Account w/ company contributionDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife & AD&D InsuranceShort & Long Term DisabilityOptional Supplemental Life Insurance401(k) w/ company matchPaid Time Off
