Job DetailsEntry Center City 833 Chestnut - Philadelphia, PA Fully Remote Full Time High School $19.00 - $23.00 Hourly None Day ShiftDescriptionRothman Orthopaedics is looking for a Pre-Registration Representative to join our team! The Pre-Registration Representative is responsible for the accurate collection of demographic information for orderly registration of patients prior to patients being seen in the office. If you are qualified for and interested in this role, please apply.Hours: Mon - Fri: 8am - 5pm EST (will work 40 hrs/wk)Location: fully remote, but candidates must reside in DE, FL, GA, MD, NC, NJ, PA, SC, or TXJob QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED minimum education requirement.Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office. EMR experience highly preferred. Must have a general understanding of insurance and benefits.Understanding of insurance portals required. Familiarity with medical office operations, medical terminology, and coding preferred.Reliable high-speed internet access and Wi-Fi connection required.Rothman employees interested must be in their current position for no less than one (1) year and must be in good standing.Job DutiesVerifies all new patient appointments from the daily schedule for each assigned location/provider/etc.Checks benefits (i.e. referral requirements, copays, etc.) for each patient visit.Reviews schedules to verify complete information on all follow-up appointments.Ensure accurate capture of all demographic information for appointments for the following day. Verifies insurance coverage for each new patient one day prior to appointment.Provides assistance to other pre-registration staff, as needed, for all sites currently using Pre-Registration system.Communicates with the front desk staff, using appropriate alerts or comments in EMR.Takes inbound and outbound phone calls to assist patients, insurance companies, etc. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Commitment To EmployeesCome work at Rothman Orthopaedics!
