Private Teacher / Home Educator

About the RoleWe are a private family seeking an experienced, dynamic, and nurturing Private Teacher / Home Educator for our child. She attends a non-traditional, project-based school, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to complement her formal education.The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator who can build upon her natural curiosity. Your role is not just to supervise, but to actively engage her, further her knowledge journey, and help her explore the world through creative, academic, and hands-on activities during her after-school and weekend hours.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement a bespoke after-school and weekend program that is engaging, fun, and academically enriching, supporting and expanding upon her school's curriculum.Responsible for all school-related transport, including safe and punctual pick-ups and drop-offs from school and various extra-curricular activities.Creatively plan and execute a structured weekend schedule that includes educational outings, cultural experiences, creative projects, and play.Act as a positive role model, fostering a love of learning, critical thinking, and confidence.Liaise with the family (and potentially the school, when required) to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for our daughter.Qualifications & RequirementsDemonstrable experience working as a qualified teacher, home-school educator, or a governess in a similar private role.Must have experience working with children in Grade 3 (or equivalent, approx. 8 years old) and higher.Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is strongly preferred.Native-level fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential.Highly organized, reliable, patient, and creative, with a proactive and energetic approach. Must be professional and respect family privacy.Preferred Qualifications (A Great Addition)Fluency in a language other than English would be a significant asset.Previous experience working with an Arab family is highly desirable.Familiarity or experience with non-traditional, project-based, or inquiry-led learning methods.
