Process Commissioning LeadLocation: Western Desert, EgyptContract Type: 1-Year Project-Based Contract (Renewable Based on Performance & Project Scope)Industry: Oil & Gas / EnergyAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Process Commissioning Lead to join a major oilfield project in Egypt’s Western Desert. The successful candidate will oversee all process commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested, verified, and safely transitioned from construction to full operation.This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of the region’s most technically challenging and rewarding energy projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise all process commissioning operations, ensuring alignment with project timelines, HSE standards, and operational excellence targets.Develop and review commissioning procedures, plans, and schedules for process units.Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities across multi-disciplinary teams.Review and update P&IDs, markups, and process documentation to reflect as-built conditions.Oversee the preparation of commissioning dossiers, test packages, and operational test procedures.Verify system readiness through mechanical completion and pre-startup safety reviews.Manage and resolve technical issues during commissioning to ensure smooth handover to operations.Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated commissioning.Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project quality and safety management systems.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in process commissioning or operations within the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.Proven experience in commissioning gas plants, refineries, or large-scale process units.Strong knowledge of P&IDs, process control systems, chemical cleaning methods, and startup procedures.Excellent understanding of LOTO procedures, safety standards, and operational readiness processes.Effective communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
