To 2025, HPPL has significantly invested in its energy businessHancock Energy has a Max Term opportunity until 2028 for a Projects Process Engineer to join a growing team supporting onshore oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia.The Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing all process engineering and design activities associated with a significant Gas Project, including FEED, detailed engineering, construction support, commissioning and start up into operations. Key Responsibilities:Oversee the process design scope delivery by the Main Engineering Contractor as well as other contractors (including Flow Assurance and Process Safety) engaged to provide technical design and engineering services, with a focus on ensuring compliance with the Basis of Design, applicable design standards and codes, and safe and efficient operations Ensure that Process Safety is considered in the design and that all requirements for the Formal Safety Assessment required as part of a Safety Case are met · Ensure that the facilities design will comply with all environmental and safety commitments and/or license conditions. Work with the engineering manager and other design engineers to ensure that the facility will meet safety and operability performance targets Liaise with the subsurface team to ensure that subsurface appraisal outcomes are understood, and where applicable recommend changes to the design (via the Management of Change process).Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to safeguard compliance, reduce risk and drive performance excellence. Support the Pre-Operations team through the project execution phase, particularly in the development of commissioning and operating procedures and training materials Support the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning team through project execution, providing process engineering advice Monitor discipline engineering progress costs against budget · Analyse and recommend corrective necessary actions to meet project deliverables.Skills required:Minimum of 15 years process engineering experience including senior technical roles within major Oil and Gas Projects.Qualification in process or chemical engineering (degree)Outstanding design skills and knowledge with experience in the execution phase detailed design for a major oil and gas projectFamiliarity with the systems and equipment typical for an onshore gas processing plant will be highly regarded.Site engineering experience (operations or commissioning support) on a significant oil and gas project including commissioning and/or operations support Extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry and Australian Standards and specificationsFamiliar with flow assurance engineering, particularly for an upstream gas project · Familiar with Process Safety Engineering and Process Safety Management systems, and the application of PSM within the Operations Phase. Knowledge of Safety Case requirements in Australia is essential. · Previous experience within an owner’s team is desired.
