Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of petrochemicals. We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in process engineering, continuous improvement initiatives, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can optimize process performance, drive efficiency, and contribute to plant reliability and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing yield, reducing waste, and enhancing safety. Work with DCS systems to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize plant operations. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure effective process design and performance. Conduct data analysis and root cause investigations for process upsets and reliability issues. Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports. Support capital projects including scope development, design input, and commissioning. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. 3+ years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or related manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Proficiency with DCS systems (e.g., Siemens PCS 7). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in batch and/or continuous processing. Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, HAZOPs, and MOC processes. Knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
