More importantly, it is through cultivating great science and engineering that we give back to society.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time Process Engineer-In-Training role located in Sudbury, ON or Oakville, ON, with some flexibility for remote work.The Process Engineer-In-Training will support a wide range of technical and project activities including:Process design, modeling, and controlSupporting chemical and process engineering projectsDesigning and supervising laboratory test work for material characterization and backfill performance evaluationPerforming data analysis and preparing technical reportsAssisting in the design and execution of mine backfill process studies, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory standardsDeveloping and updating process flow diagrams (PFDs) to support engineering and project deliverablesConducting mass balance calculations and developing design criteriaContributing to QA/QC and troubleshooting during project executionIdentifying opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practicesCollaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and laboratory groups, to ensure efficient and cost-effective project delivery QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related fieldSkills in Process Design and Process ControlStrong Analytical Skills for data interpretation, mass balance calculations, and technical assessmentsExperience with laboratory test work planning, execution, and managementAbility to prepare high-quality technical reports and present results effectivelyStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and remotely as requiredWillingness and ability to travel to operating sites as neededRelevant experience in the mining and mineral processing sectors is an assetProficiency with process simulation tools (SysCAD) is an asset
