Job Description

About usTFC Communication is a leading provider of optical sub-assembly integrated solutions and advanced optoelectronic package manufacturing services. We were founded in 2005 and IPO in 2015. Our products are widely used in fields such as data center, fiber-optic communication, and optical sensing. We have 7 factories around the world, with over 4000+ staffs. ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage a team of process engineers focusing on optical engine production.Define, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for critical optical components and subsystemsCollaborate with R&D / Design Engineering to transfer new designs into manufacturable, cost‑effective processes.Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield, throughput, process capability, and reduce scrap / rework.Oversee process characterization: DOE (Design of Experiments), statistical methods (SPC, Six Sigma), process capability (Cp, Cpk), root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).Ensure that process flows are well documented; create and maintain work instructions, process specifications, process qualification plans, and process validation as needed.Manage process equipment selection, installation, qualification, maintenance, and optimization.Monitor production metrics (yield, cycle time, first pass yield, cost per unit), report status, and lead corrective action when metrics are not met.Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen) to reduce waste, cost, time to market.Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to optical and photonic devices.Collaborate with Supply Chain / Materials Engineering to ensure availability, quality, and cost of raw materials, adhesives, coatings, optical glass, etc.Risk management: anticipate process-related risks, mitigate proactively, support design for manufacturability (DFM) / design for test (DFT).Budgeting: manage process engineering budget, capex for process tools/equipment, spare parts, etc.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s or master’s degree in Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.Experience10+ years in process engineering / manufacturing in optics / photonics / optical engines or related industry, with 3+ years in a leadership role.Hands‑on experience in high-speed optical component manufacturing: ROSA, TOSA, COC,etc.Strong background in process control, statistical analysis, DOE, SPC, root cause analysis, FMEA.Proven track record of yield improvement, cost reduction, scale‑up from prototype to mass production.Experience with optical measurement metrology, quality test, environmental / reliability testing (temperature, humidity, vibration, shock) is a plus.Familiarity with cleanroom manufacturing, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g. ISO 9001, ).SkillsStrong leadership, team building, mentoring, and communication skills.Analytical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail.Ability to work cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing.Solid project management skills: schedule management, prioritization, risk management.Proficient in statistical software / tools (Minitab, JMP, MATLAB, etc.).Knowledge of CAD / mechanical / optical design tools is beneficial.Fluent in English; additional languages depending on location beneficial.
