N7 Day 2025's only announcement was that the next Mass Effect game is still happening

The next Mass Effect game (presumably Mass Effect 5, but still untitled at this time) was announced in 2020. However BioWare hasdn’t had the best go of it leading up to that announcement and the situation hasn’t improved since. Nonetheless, BioWare and Electronic Arts didn’t let N7 Day pass without addressing the new game. The next Mass Effect game is still in the works and the groups remain committed to its release. BioWare addressed the next Mass Effect in a blog post on N7 Day 2025. There, the developers promised that the game is still in the works and will remain in active development for the time being: If the wording later in the Mass Effect blog was any indication, we still won’t see much news on the game for a while, but the team is still preparing new Mass Effect goodies in the form of new merch and crossover content for other EA IPs: It’s been since The Game Awards 2020 that we’ve been waiting to see something fresh in the Mass Effect series, but news like senior BioWare staff leaving haven't instilled confidence. Nonetheless, EA and BioWare insist it is still happening and we can only take them at their word. As we watch for more updates, stay tuned on the Mass Effect topic.
