VPS5 positionInitial 6-month contractHybrid role Our state government client is looking for a Procurement Advisor. Your new role Provide expert sourcing advice and support to a range of stakeholders.Deliver procurement services in line with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) and internal guidelines.Prepare procurement documentation including market engagement strategies, tender documents, evaluation reports, negotiation plans, and approval briefs.Coordinate tender processes, evaluations, contract negotiations, and awards.Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Guide finance and project teams to manage procurement-related costs and risks.Support the maintenance and improvement of the organisation's Procurement Framework.Contribute to procurement data analytics, reporting, and compliance activities.What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated experience in sourcing goods and services in line with VGPB requirements.Strong attention to detail and experience preparing procurement and contract documentation.Sound judgement, analytical skills, and the ability to make confident decisions under pressure.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.What you'll get in return You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that values work-life balance, offering flexible working arrangements including hybrid work options.
