If you want to know more, read about our team and values on our page.About The RoleAs a Product Engineer, you'll be a trusted, high-impact individual contributor - delivering high-quality software, shaping product direction, and helping others level up. You'll work across the stack, ship meaningful features, and contribute to how we build things at Abatable.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment - delivering robust, maintainable solutions that solve real user problemsCollaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to shape what we build and whyWrite clean, thoughtful code, with a strong grasp of architecture, performance, and coding best practicesContribute to improving engineering processes and codebase healthProvide guidance and feedback to peers, helping raise the bar for the whole teamBalance speed and quality, making pragmatic trade-offs and learning from each releaseStay curious - explore new tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve how we workWe're happy to work with people with experience in any of the tools and technologies in our stack, but you should be proficient working in a full-stack TypeScript environment.Who We're Looking ForA product-minded engineer: You think beyond tickets - understanding the user, the problem, and the ‘why' behind what you're buildingFull-stack experience: You've built and shipped production systems across the stack (React, TypeScript, APIs, databases)Ownership mindset: You're proactive, accountable, and take pride in seeing things through to impactStrong problem solver: You debug methodically, think in systems, and design solutions that lastCollaborative communicator: You work well across disciplines, explain complex ideas clearly, and give and receive feedback with humilityContinuous learner: You enjoy exploring new tech, reflecting on mistakes, and helping others grow5+ years experience building production software with measurable user or business impactThis role isn't right if you:Prefer fully remote work - We believe in the power of in-person collaboration.
