The Product Manager is instrumental in driving the strategic development, launch, and lifecycle management of products across the company’s portfolio. Through effective teamwork and collective ambition, the Product Manager enables the achievement of shared goals and supports the organisation’s vision for innovation and industry leadership.Key Duties:Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the company’s entire product portfolio, emphasising the technical specifications and unique features to translate the product value proposition and add value to existing and prospective customers and internal stakeholders.Develop robust business cases for new and existing products, utilising cross-functional input to justify investment decisions and support strategic growth across the portfolio.Prepare and deliver regular market reports that analyse sales data, industry trends, and competitor activities, providing actionable insights to guide product strategy and ensure alignment with commercial objectives and customer needs.Drive the full product lifecycle by working in partnership with cross-functional teams, ensuring that each stage—from initial concept and development through launch and post-market support—is aligned towards achieving the shared vision and strategic objectives of the business.Conduct continuous market intelligence and scientific research, leveraging the collective expertise of colleagues to proactively identify industry trends, breakthrough technologies, and competitive dynamics, and translate these insights into actionable strategies that support the company’s mission.Foster seamless and purposeful collaboration with Research & Development, Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring product development aligns closely with market needs, customer requirements, and the company’s overarching purpose.Design, prepare, and deliver engaging product training programs for sales and technical support teams, leveraging group learning and shared best practices to elevate technical proficiency and strengthen a unified, informed approach to market success.Serve as a key technical liaison, facilitating open communication and productive teamwork between internal teams and customers, addressing complex technical enquiries, and ensuring a consistent, positive customer experience in pursuit of the company’s vision.Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in industry exhibitions and conferences, delivering impactful technical presentations and live product demonstrations that showcase not only the company’s innovation, but also the strength of collaborative efforts driving its leadership in the industry.Provide hands-on, in-field product support that encourages ongoing teamwork with customers and internal partners, delivering expert guidance and troubleshooting to maximise satisfaction and ensure widespread adoption of solutions aligned with organisational goals.Contribute to the creation and refinement of comprehensive technical documentation, training materials, and educational resources, promoting knowledge-sharing and collective growth in support of the wider mission.Champion the positioning of both proprietary and OEM solutions through close collaboration, ensuring all product messaging is scientifically robust, customer-focused, and aligned with the company’s vision and aspirations.Lead and execute exhibition and conference strategies as a team, overseeing all aspects of product demonstrations and technical presentations to collectively elevate the company’s profile and advance shared objectives.Deliver strategic in-field support during new product launches, working closely with colleagues to enhance sales effectiveness and deliver a unified, exceptional customer experience that consistently upholds and advances the company’s purpose.Supporting QMS requirements, including ISO 13485 complianceQualifications and ExperienceUndergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a science-related discipline.At least 3 years’ experience in a comparable role.Comprehensive understanding of the IVD market; advanced knowledge of the molecular diagnostics sector and competitive landscape is highly desirable.Strong expertise in PCR methodologies and nucleic acid purification techniques.Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver successful projects, consistently meeting deadlines and budgetary requirements.Key AttributesHighly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to adapt and meet changing business needsGoal orientated and collaborative professional with strong technical expertiseExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, strong communication and presentation skillsHighly motivated and passionate individual who is keen to make a difference in improving patient outcomes and healthcare services through bringing innovation to marketQuality and innovation focussedStrong business acumen and commercial focusFluency in written and oral English
