Job DescriptionLocation: Cairo, EgyptSalary: 40,000 EGP / monthCompany: IRYSSType: Full-time, onsite About IRYSSIRYSS is a European marketplace working with independent and SME fashion brands.We are building a garment factory in Cairo focused on high-quality export production for men’s and women’s garments, with small and mid-size lines and frequent style changes. Job PurposeManage the full production floor (40+ workers) and make sure all orders are produced on time, to spec, and to export quality, with strong organisation and control. Main Responsibilities 1. Planning & SchedulingPlan daily and weekly production based on orders and delivery dates.Decide how to split work across lines and workers.Make sure each style has a clear plan before starting (operations, sequence, manpower). 2. Line Setup & ControlSet up and balance multiple small/mid lines for different styles.Decide operation breakdown and assign work to each machine and worker.Check first pieces on each line and only allow bulk once correct.Adjust lines during the day to remove bottlenecks and keep output moving. 3. Technical & Garment KnowledgeUse strong knowledge of men’s and women’s garments (shirts, polos, trousers, dresses, tops, etc.) to guide the line.Read and follow tech packs, measurement charts and construction details.Correct stitching methods, seam types, and finishing where needed.Support pattern and cutting with basic technical feedback (not pattern maker, but able to see issues). 4. Quality ControlMake sure quality checks happen in-line, end-of-line and before packing.Control measurements, seams, finishing, labels and trims.Stop and correct problems early instead of pushing bad work forward.Work with QC to reduce repeat defects and keep a low defect rate. 5. Team Management & TrainingManage 40+ workers across cutting, sewing, finishing and QC.Keep discipline, attendance and clear communication on targets.Train workers on new styles, better stitching methods and finishing.Identify weak areas and give specific coaching, not just shouting.Support line leaders/supervisors and make sure they do their job properly. 6. Organisation & Floor ControlKeep the production floor clean, organised and controlled.Make sure fabric, trims and bundles move in a clear, logical flow.Ensure every order has clear marking, tracking and status.Avoid lost pieces, mixing styles or sizes, or confusion on the floor. 7. Problem SolvingHandle daily issues: machine problems, missing trims, worker gaps, style changes.Make fast, practical decisions to keep lines moving.Communicate clearly with management when an issue affects delivery. 8. Outsourcing & External WorkshopsWhen needed, coordinate certain styles or parts with external workshops.Give them clear instructions and check their quality before accepting work. 9. ReportingGive simple daily/weekly reports:Output per style/lineMain problemsQuality issuesAny risk to delivery dates RequirementsExperience7–15 years in garment factory production.Experience managing multiple lines and frequent style changes.Strong experience in both menswear and womenswear.Managed teams of around 30–60 workers. SkillsVery strong garment construction and finishing knowledge.Strong planning, line balancing and floor organisation.Able to train workers and improve their performance.Strong problem-solving on the floor.English: must be fluent. PersonalityTrustworthy and reliable.Very detail-focused; does not accept “good enough”.Calm but firm leadership style.Takes full responsibility for production performance and quality. What IRYSS Offers40,000 EGP/month.Long-term stable role with progression.Clean and organised factory environment.Chance to build and shape a strong production team.Work on export orders for European brands.
