Job Description

ResponsibilitiesImplement and oversee plant safety regulations, procedures, and compliance with the Safety Policy and SHEQ requirements.Conduct risk assessments and monitor safety orientation programmes such as LOTOTO, confined space entry, working at heights, and hazardous material awareness.Oversee production processes, including process flows, control strategies, and the operation of PLC and SCADA systems.Apply problem-solving methods such as root cause failure analysis and risk analysis to resolve operational issues.Maintain knowledge of plant equipment, including liquid and powder flow mechanisms, lubrication principles, and basic electrical and instrumentation concepts.Coordinate production planning, including raw material availability, chemical batching, weekly scheduling, and communication with procurement.Capture and manage production bookings on the D365 system, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate downtime reporting.Supervise team operations, including timekeeping, coordination, cleaning of manufacturing facilities after production, and product labelling.Conduct stock takes and support production documentation and operational checks.Assist with quality assurance requirements, customer complaint investigations, and environmental compliance.Support process optimisation, special projects, and ensure the timely delivery of products to clients.QualificationsNational Senior Certificate or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years working experience in a Construction Manufacturing industry.Required SkillsMathematical Skills: Ability to do calculations including interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Chemistry and Physics knowledge.Management skills / Supervisory skills.Interpersonal skills.Computer Literacy.Good practical problem-solving skills. Experience with 8D advantageous.
