Join Mizuho as a Program Manager!The Program Manager will be a part of the Americas Program Management team. The mandate is to define and lead large scale programs and other initiatives which have significant impact across various functions at Mizuho.Key Responsibilities IncludeDrive execution of key initiatives through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning to delivery including definition of the program scope and budget, development of target state business processes, translation of business needs into solutions and requirements, and their implementationWork across multiple functions and legal entities to structure and manage end-to-end project efforts through deep understanding of requirements, technologies, cross-functional impact, and business strategyEnsuring that scope within the program are well-coordinated and interdependencies are managed effectively. Ensure target end state is delivered inclusive of required governance, business process redesign and appropriate controls.Coordinate all activities and dependencies of UAT to ensure successful acceptance by the business owners including defect management and reporting in JIRAIdentifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks to the program's success as well as identifying opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and the overall program delivery. Facilitating clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders, keeping everyone informed of the program's status, risks, and changes. Oversight of program and project level resources including those provided by 3rd party providers and management of the career growth of Mizuho employees who are under direct supervisionManage weekly status reporting, understand and maintain program’s RAID log, run daily and/or weekly working groups to support successful program deliveryCollaborate with APMO Governance team and follow its guidelines and standards for program reporting, maintain comprehensive program documentation, including plans, reports, and other relevant materials. RequirementsSignificant experience and track record of delivery of major cross functional initiatives at large and complex financial institutions. This includes how to structure initiatives, project planning, budgeting, and resource allocationDeep understanding of finance, risk, operations, and data processes as well as the technologies enabling themStrong knowledge and experience of regulatory change managementProduct knowledge of Loans, Derivatives, Securities, and Repurchase AgreementsStrong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision-making skillsProven experience of team leadership, career development of others and developing individuals in the program and change management spaceExceptional stakeholder management skills including experience at performing this across multiple functions, committees and areasSuperior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staffSolid knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and toolsTolerance and understanding in multi culturesThe expected base salary ranges from $111k-$150k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
