Job Description

We are seeking Project Coordination Professionals for future temporary opportunities or contract opportunities through a vendor partner at the Bruce Power site. These dynamic opportunities require individuals who thrive in a fast paced and integrated team environment.The Project Coordinator is dedicated and detail-oriented and supports the successful execution of large-scale, highly complex projects. In this role, you will assist the Project Manager by coordinating day-to-day activities, tracking progress, and ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and a passion for working on impactful initiatives. Such projects may include nuclear refurbishment work, or other support infrastructure repair, improvement, and can be expected to span several years.Key Responsibilities:Project Support:Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and documentation.Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and project team.Monitor project deliverables to ensure they are on track.Coordination and Communication:Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients.Organize and participate in project meetings, capturing meeting minutes and action items.Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain up-to-date and accurate project documentation, such as contracts, permits, and technical specifications.Knowledge of Earned Value Management Techniques and Change Management Processes.Prepare regular project status reports and distribute them to stakeholders.Assist in compiling project presentations and progress summaries.Resource Management:Track resource allocation, ensuring that equipment, materials, and personnel are available as needed.Coordinate logistics for the procurement and delivery of materials.Assist in managing contracts and vendor relationships.Risk and Issue Tracking:Monitor project risks and issues, escalating them to the Project Manager when necessary.Support the development of mitigation plans to address challenges.Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.Education and Experience:This knowledge is normally acquired through the successful completion of a four-year university education in Engineering or in a related technical field, or a college certification in Project Management with relevant experience.Up to 5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.Demonstrated familiarity with the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®); certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project or Program Management Professional (PMP, PgMP) considered an asset.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience with project management software and tools, including but not limited to Primavera P6, Eco Sys, Active Risk Manager (ARM), and the Microsoft suite of tools (incl Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Power BI).
