Job Description

Our prestigious client is looking for a Senior Project Manager in the construction industry from a contracting background.As a Project Director, you create strategic and operational plans for each major project and then monitor and report on the program and financial goals. As a director, you update the company and external stakeholders on project progress, changes from original plans, and existing or emerging risks. Collaboration with project managers allows you to identify needs and develop and test ways to overcome challenges along with these duties and responsibilities:Coordinate the efforts of various employees to ensure the completion of tasksDevelop a timeline for the completion of each projectCreate a budget for project tasks and monitor spending within approved project resourcesRecommend changes to stay within budget and on timeDevelop an alternate plan for completing a job if needeMaking presentations to investors, business partners, and company executivesReviewing, approving, or rejecting proposalsContracting with outside support agencies and companiesManaging internal and external resourcesLeading teams and managers in all aspects of a projectTracking project plan elements and making changes to stay on scheduleCreating team schedules and delegating tasks appropriatelyMonitoring and auditing employee performance and identifying opportunities for improvementSetting goals and objectives for employees and developing processes to ensure their performance alignsEnsuring managers and employees meet project deadlinesAddressing any concerns or issues identified by employees and managersHiring and onboarding new managersTraining and overseeing new manager orientation with a focus on company policies and proceduresRequirements: Having at least 5-7 years as a senior project manager/project director from a contracting backgroundHaving experience in managing high-rise tower projects (50+ floors)Holding a bachelor degree in civil engineering, building construction or equivalent
